At the age of thirty two, Alexander died suddenly. His death provoked a cataclysm to the edges of the world. His body was mummified according to the Egyptian rite and placed in a gold sarcophagus before being sent to Alexandria. Emperors and sovereigns revered him for centuries, praying for his advice and honouring him with libations, glorifying human excess, greatness and eternity.
